Controversial opinion.
There is no such thing as a “Luxury Car”.
People pay a premium for some features and for build quality and to some extent, brand.
Tesla brings many/ most of those features to all of their cars and will continue to do so regardless of price. If Tesla ever releases a...
I’m sure. Just not super exciting. In the US it would have just appeared in the online store.
Lesson here is don’t get excited about stuff you don’t understand.
Other lesson I think is that Cybertruck is apparently pretty popular in China if they are excited about this.
This whole line of conversation is pointless.
It’s in China where I’m pretty sure private gun ownership is illegal.
I doubt Tesla would do a gun safe regardless, since it has nothing to do with their mission. Maybe on their merch page, but even there it makes little sense.
Teslas margins were fine in early 2021 when their cars were selling for less than they are now.
In 2022, there were massive shipping costs, huge raw materials pricing bubbles, huge shortages in chips, and Tesla was ramping up 2 brand new factories.
Most of those headwinds are gone. Factories...
We’ve been seeing drawings of this beast for months. Many of us expected to see them before the end of last year. I’m sure it’s no coincidence that these started popping up in a bunch of places right after the Biden meeting.
They could make a sport version of this with more street friendly tires, a lower stance, and better performance.
I think Cyberado would be a better name myself.
Is MS Excel a “standard”?
Does anyone care? Apple makes their Numbers spreadsheet capable of importing and exporting to Excel because it’s what most people use. It has become a de facto standard for exchanging spreadsheet information even though it is controlled by Microsoft.
“Customer Service Satisfaction” as opposed to… plain old Customer Satisfaction.
Weird distinction. Maybe because when they compared actual customer satisfaction EVs kicked ass?
Weirdly many Tesla owners are both very very happy with their cars, but those who have dealt with Tesla’s customer...
First Tesla needs to get cars that let me go places while I sleep.
Then they need to make cars I can hail from my phone. Then they need to figure out how to get those cars down the driveway which Google, Apple, and every mapping company thinks is 500 feet past where it actually is.
This IMO...
Yes.
I just disagreed with the idea that it is “zero”. Tesla has spent billions on their vision system and will continue to spend billions on their vision system for at least another 10 years.
But Waymo has spent billions making making 3 cities work.
Very clear Teslas billions will scale better.
