That is what it means to 'you', and I suspect that what you mean is that "FSD" = "Level 5 Autonomy" as defined by the SAE. We are years away from that and maybe it isn't worth $15K to you. I am fine with that. In fact, it isn't worth $15K to me in its current form either, but I reserved it with...
Its much more limited than that. They are geofenced to some place with HD maps. They cannot be used in tunnels or bridges, cannot drive at night or in inclement weather, ... the list of conditions they are not allowed to drive in is so onerous that they 'are' worthless. To say that there are...
More competition? That would be great but I have, having watched what the competition is doing, very little expectation that it will happen in the current timeframe.
I like to drive too and hate being a passenger. That is probably why I am as critical of current FSD functionality as I am. But there will come a time when I don’t trust my driving and I am counting on my FSD investment to keep me mobile.
It can go as high as Elon wants. I am locked in at the price at unveiling and can always change my mind if and when I develop a negative attitude about senior mobility. Beta or no beta I think that the FSD features are coming along well. My wife is not at all happy about it.
Yes, I know how the game is played and I don't have the time or expertise to play it. The poster said that he is trading every day or two, and in my mind that makes him a day trader, which is a completely different kind of investor than me. Most of my investments are in broad spectrum vehicles...
I personally have a very bad track record at innnvesting so I only invest in companies that I 'really' believe in. I am a true believer in Tesla as a company, and its vision, and a leader who can implement the vision (I do not care much for Elon as a person), and so I have bought (and will...
Sorry to hear about your pain. My understanding is that the only way anyone can get FSD on a used Tesla is to buy it 'directly' from the individual that paid for it originally. If it goes through any dealership then it is gone. Don't ask me how or why because I don't know. I wish they wouldn't...
Where I last worked there was no parking and so there was really no place to put Level 2 chargers, so they have to go in parking structures and parking lots, but they are doing that already (albeit on a small scale).
I am surprised that the stock price is in the $600s, but my comment was not about whether Tesla would 'ever' reach $600 but whether it would reach it that day, or even that week, which it didn't.
Let's all hope that in the grand[er] scheme of things Tesla continues to grow and implement its vision for sustainability and that that positively affects the stock price (since, selfishly, that is how I hope to pay for my truck). Otherwise why would anyone invest in the market? You never know...
There are soaps that are less bad for the environment, and some that are pseudo-neutral for the environment, so perhaps her age or just her use of words (or your interpretation of her words) came across. I understand and laud any effort to reduce our [negative] impact on the environment, and if...
Not being a stock market afficionado, it seems to me that the metric for success in the market is good numbers on the balance sheet. I have never heard of the market being even slightly interested in social justice of any kind. Are 'any' estsblished S&P 500 companies doing good things for humanity?
That is an odd percentage to throw out. I would have guessed that maybe 30% might drop out in the normal course of things, and that maybe 20% of the rest might convert to another truck. That would still be over 500K. If it takes them a year to get up to speed, then that could be about 3 years of...
How can you conflate a few words into all of these projections? The news about Tesla possibly stopping new orders was for M3 and MY that are already in production and backlogged, not Cybertrucks. You invented that. No doubt they will have more orders in the 3 years, but didn't they stop showing...
