Lots of people selling their overpriced homes in California and moving out of state. They'll miss the nice weather near the beach, but that's about all they'll miss. Funny thing, once you get about 5 miles away from the cool Pacific ocean breezes it gets hot in the summer in California too.
This is an interesting conundrum. You are REQUIRED to have Insurance to drive. Like anything in life, prices are based on what people will pay. The insurance companies want as much money as they can charge, and we try to reduce costs as much as possible.

Actually, what I would like to see is Tesla not do paid advertising. But, I'd like to see them have a STOKE button on their website and under the stoke button there could be latest news and video links to videos that cause people to be stoked on Tesla and their mission. Rivian has a Youtube...
Tesla as a company, has more demand for products than they can produce, for several years. Semi's , Roadsters, Powerwalls, Cybertrucks, Large storage batteries. Why spend money to get further backlogged. They need to spend money to increase the capability to build the products they already have...
