On the road does not mean road trip. I'm just talking about commuting. And I never changed my story. I never said I have a 12 hr bladder either. You said something about me driving 500 mile's then 500 more without going to the bathroom. You said that, not me. All I ever said is that I fill...
Thank you. So the ramp time is irrelevant
I was not all over the place. For some reason you made a bad assumption about road tripping even though I specifically said
I fill up when I'm low on gas. I don't just fill up when I'm on a road trip.
Please show me when I said I was talking...
Thank for all the criticism of how much I'll drive and when I'll charge and it's good to know that even though I caveated my comments with "it's not a big deal" and it's good to know that when I said "for some reason someday I'll have to charge up in town" will NEVER EVER come to be a reality...
No I don't. I do none of those things. Gas and go. Got $#&! to do. Total time stopped was under 4 minutes. Time pumping was under 3. I operate this required/antiquated task like a pit stop. Moseying inside a gas station for snacks or a mid day bathroom break is a completely foreign concept...
I appreciate your take, but I missed where my instinct is off?
At some point, for some reason, I will have to stop for charging just while running errands or taking clients around town. That doesn't mean I need snacks, or a bathroom break. Other then road trips I could not tell you the last...
It is impressive and a nice improvement, but 15 minutes of charging time for 200+ miles of range is still significantly less convenient then gassing up. I can put 510 miles of range into my truck in about 3 minutes. I timed it a couple weeks ago.
I get it that most of the time EVs will be...
The day I started this thread the stock was at $170. It will do what it does and I don't care. I will continue to hold it until I'm forced to take mandatory withdrawals per the IRS.
I will say, with everything Tesla is involved in, it should not be directly compared to any pure auto...
70x? It's trading at 29x earnings right now. Still not cheap but not 70x.
There are lots of ways to value value a company. Some ways make sense and others don't. Generally I do think Tesla trades more like tech vs manufacturing, but thier auto manufacturing margins are so much better then...
I'm officially invested in a couple of hundred shares.
Holding till Nov 2049 when I will start my mandatory withdrawals.
The only thing that would change my mind would be if SpaceX goes public. If that happens, I will swap 100% of the portfolio into SpaceX.
Fair. Very poorly communicated by me. As I said I hadn't put much thought into this.
I'm just wondering if it would be better. The power to charge the batteries would have to come from somewhere obviously. Let's say it all comes from solar on every house.
I'm not trying to advocate for...
I'm curious and have not put much thought into this but what are your thoughts about everything being run off batteries and no power coming from power plants?
Would that really be a better situation?
I started thinking about it because we bought some new power recline furniture that I can...
Is it a valid concern? Post-flood, do EV's have a higher chance of combusting? If there were 8 that did; what was the denominator to the 8? How many ICE combusted post flood and what's their denominator?
Yes, I watched the video. I audibly laughed at the 1.5% of all ICE vehicles that catch...
