Yeah, the Austin Y will be theoretically quicker given it's lighter weight. If they sell it as a non-differentiated model then they'll likely nerf it to keep 0-60 similar to Fremont Ys. Booooo!!! Come on Tesla, just sell it as a Performance+ model or something, and charge a bit more. On the flip...
My mum got scammed by one of those makeup/device companies. She was visiting me and was walking down the street in an open air mall by herself. There were about three of those sorts of places. They stand outside and entice people in, they make outlandish promises and manipulate those without the...
No worries, ditto on all three for me as well. Have to keep working, but listening to youtube stream, waiting for earnings and reading threads here. I really shouldn't multitask.
yeah, I can see them not doing that to conserve cells, at least for now. I would love that though. When you do a long road trip of thousands of miles you realize how optimistic the range estimates are. If we sat at 55 mph, sure they'd be reasonably close, but 80-90 mph, forget it. Would love to...
yes, I'm going to assume they might go this way. Certainly the timing of the FSD price increase is suspicious and supports that something is going to happen with the Y...
Financials look awesome (revenue likely lower than expectations a little) for Q4, reading through the report and watching...
Yes, but if 90% of customers don't care then Osborne shouldn't be a factor. I'm actually, in part, having a go at all the posters who ask why I care about the Austin build vs Fremont. According to them, most don't care... hmmm...
Also, by charging a nominal amount more, perhaps $1000 not sure...
I may be one of those lollygaggers. That's fine, they can kick me to the curb when my vin gets allocated and it doesn't have an "A" for Austin. I'll forgo the $250 if need be. I'm not sure why though, they could just hand the VIN to one of those people who don't care. Why not give me a checkbox...
Warren Redlich suggested that Tesla may announced an option to order specifically an Austin Model Y during or just after the earnings call today. I'm skeptical because I think many "normal" consumers would be confused by this option although you could argue that for now many people who order...
Cheap, commoditized solar panels/roof tiles on every structure in the appropriate latitudes with a CT attached for battery backup. That's a solution that appeals to me in my castle.
What maintenance?
I’ve never heard of a correlation between Tesla battery age and risk of catching fire.
The risk of Tesla EVs catching fire is much lower than gas cars. This has been apparent for years. Tesla also highlights this in their latest Tesla Impact Report…...
Indeed.
I've seen this LIDAR claim a few times. People don't realize they were using some LIDAR systems to validate the LIDAR like capabilities they developed from the vision system. It was NOT a sign that Tesla is going to use LIDAR.
I have been guilty of responding to political discussions and I regret it.
I think discussions around the viability of tax credits is perfectly acceptable, comments like
"Sleepy Joe" and "The Orange Cheeto" are not constructive and should be avoided.
As much as I really really want to snigger...
