I think the price of new cars isn't very close yet. Compare the price of Model Y, to a Rav 4, or a CRV. If you look at TCO, then there may be parity.
But what if the tax incentives get passed, and the cost of a Model Y, with Fed & state incentives come into play, with $10,000 off the sale...
This article doesn't make much sense. Right off the bat it comes out with the statement, “There are not many reasons left to buy an ICE car after 2025.”
Then they go on to say, "By 2025 they will account for 17 percent of global sales and by 2030 their share will be 40 percent."
If an ICE car...
I'd like to point out that you are voicing what is important to you individually. Yes I would think those would be area's of interest for most. But not all. What I didn't like most about your comment, was the last sentence, where you used the word WE. Those talking points may be what YOU care...
So Farley is comparing himself to Steve Jobs, and Ford is an innovative company that takes risky new ideas for products and takes them to market. Yeah, just like Apple. Ford is reinventing itself!
hahahaha, That's hilarious!
This sounds like that unsuccessful "dog and pony" show GM was trying to do, with Trevor Milton and Nikola.
I'm very cynical of these legacy BS artist. All these announcements are merely that, announcements. They have nothing to do with customers, and everything to do with investors. They see how...
In 1969 I lived in Sunnyvale and there was a Walnut orchard by our apartment, that I used to ride my Honda trail-90 through. 100 years ago the orchard probably was where our apartments were.
:ROFLMAO:
Hmmm, this talk of very few recycled auto batteries got me thinking. What about ALL the Bolt batteries? I wonder what is going to happen to all those batteries?
Exactly! Prices are based on what people will pay. That's also why we want more players in the field. We the consumer get more choice, then we get a better toy, at a better price.
The more I think about this, the more I understand the response from Dids the other day. We all seem to agree that even with a $7,500 disadvantage, Tesla is able to sell all the vehicles they can make, at a profit. While I agree it's a BS move to play favorites. I also see that these OEM...
I agree with you, The OEM's, Dealer's, and UAW all are fighting Tesla to maintain their way of doing business. And yes, that also helps to make them a common enemy for all of us, as that article was pointing out. Also why most of us look at Ford Lightning and all other vehicles with a bit of...
You read faster than me. That was a waste of 5 minutes of my time to get through about half of it, and look at the comments to confirm it was trash. If she had done some research and found out you can take a Tesla out for a drive, after they've been in the marketplace for a while. I may have...
As I was explaining in my first post, companies become signatory contractors on their own accord all the time. When that happens, employees are assigned a classification of what pay/ skill level they will be at in that union. Based on their experience at that company. Usually the employees...
