“Customer Service Satisfaction” as opposed to… plain old Customer Satisfaction.
Weird distinction. Maybe because when they compared actual customer satisfaction EVs kicked ass?
Weirdly many Tesla owners are both very very happy with their cars, but those who have dealt with Tesla’s customer...
My buddy does a lot of engineering work for a company that manufactures laminated wood products. Not like plywood, but big stuff, almost looks like stacks of 2x6s glued together. Pretty crazy stuff.
I’m sure the dinosaurs would have worked to create a meteor defense system if they’d known in advance…
Unlike the dinosaurs, this will take time. We have a decent idea of what is going on. And there are things we can do to at least slow it down. Given the alternative, I’d prefer we did what we...
Who let the flat earther in?
We have never previously been capable as a civilization of doing what we are at the moment. So how can you claim we’ve done it “Thousands of times”. The technology to extract and burn fossil fuels on the scale it exists today has simply not existed previously...
If you peel the bark and use proper drainage, they will capture that carbon for a good 50 years after death. Wood is remarkably long lasting if it’s treated properly. We just need specialists to identify dead or recently fallen trees, fell them or buck them, and build millions of giant log...
Right now trees in some places are dying off pretty fast in some places. There are big stands of dead trees in California and it’s a growing issue in Oregon (not near as bad yet). 2 decades of drought plus bark beetles has had a huge impact. Those dead trees are much more likely to start a huge...
My concern isn’t with Tesla’s capability. It is that it is possible we are too late to really make a difference. What Musk didn’t say [during Investor Day Event] is that once we reach that goal, it is very likely we’ll need to start reversing some of the damage we’ve done. Carbon capture is...
Most people just want a way to get from one place to the other.
The big problem with the Arcimoto was the fact that it costs $15k+ when it’s real competitors are scooters and ebikes which cost $2,000.
The big advantage of the FUV versus a moto Is space and comfort. The Arcimoto is a lot easier to drive than a motorcycle too.
It’s more like a tandem smartcar than a motorcycle. You also have a roof so when it’s raining it’s not completely exposed.
They’ve been delivering their FUV for quite some time, but in small volume. I think the big problem is margins. Talked to my buddy who works there and there were only a few SKUs they made money on.
They were only producing a couple hundred a quarter, you can’t run a factory on that volume...
I saw that. It’s a local business, I have a friend who worked there. Not sure if he still does or not.
My wife and I had talked about getting one to pair up with the Cybertruck.
Seriously bummed.
Hahaha.
Realistically, GM has the Hummer, the LRYIQ, and the Bolts… plus any unreleased vehicles. Pretty clear which will qualify. Bolts will certainly qualify, I wonder if they raise the cost on them to capture some of that. Otherwise they are going to be super cheap.
Small confession. I fibbed a bit above. Even though I have on several occasions eaten hot dogs from gas stations, I have never actually “Enjoyed them”.
If you dip them in gasoline you won’t be worried about the botulism at all.
Also, lets talk about saving money on eye drops… do you know how much money people waste on Visene?
