Does your Zero motorbike have hub motors? Or, my Alta EXR? Tesla's? Rivians? CT? Nope. It's a bad idea on any high performance machine (i.e. truck in an off-road race). Aptera is a dainty road car... scooters are cheap... Probably ok engineering decisions there. Maybe the lordstown is...

Hub motors suck for handling since the motors (heavy) are at the wheel. They take a pounding and limit the response of the suspension. I'm a hard pass.

I totally agree. To be fair, my wife is sick of hearing about Tesla/CT because she thinks Elon is losing his marbles as of late... i.e. - response to CA lockdowns - bitcoin / doge coin pumping - "Great honor to speak with" Putin She almost doesn't want to buy a Tesla :eek: ... so, I do...

By different, do you mean... less performance? ;) To me, the only "performance" spec someone could argue with would be looks/finish. Clearly that's qualitative vs quantitative. Every other metric, the Model S crushes the Audi.
