This argument has been debated ad nauseum. Its my belief that regardless of what we do, the grid is going to require more energy and improvement reliability. We as a society need to pivot towards cleaner more efficient sources of production and consumption of that energy whenever we can.

Fact of the matter is though.. I bet for the same amount of money I could swap in a really hot BEV setup. I'm planning on something similar in a Fury down the road.
They are and not every car enthusiast wants silence. Also, I seriously doubt the few engines they will sell like this is going to put the world in global climate despair.. we've all ready managed to achieve that :LOL:
This is a specialty aftermarket crate motor.. this isn't gonna be getting put into Suburban and crap from the factory. Its for automotive enthusiast.

What we really need is a NEW actually affordable BEV's. I have Personally never spent more than 18K on a vehicle. I currently drive a PHEV and it average 75-80 mpg highest average for a tank so far was 105mpg.. thats pretty dang good... This is why its so hard for me to justify the CT until this...
I could more likely see this as a mod for the Amazon prime van, a new way for delivery drivers to unload the van perhaps? Curbside instead of from the rear?
That or some sort of adventure van.. Rivian doesnt really strike me as a "mini van" kinda company.
Dealerships are beginning to change their tone. Starting to hear more of them talk about basically becoming "delivery centers" for the OEM's. They are starting to shrink cars in stock and focus on fixed pricing from the OEM. Things are changing guys and gals.. just hasn't caught up with reality yet.
Interesting for sure, thanks for posting! Hydrogen technology is still very interesting to me, I would really like to see more. As long as the hydrogen is being produced with renewable energy it's awesome, I feel the same way about what we use to power EV's though.
